FCA BOYS, GIRLS BEAT TABERNACLE CHRISTIAN

 

Tremendous Start Lifts Girls In Opener; Boys Now 3-0 Overall

POUGHKEEPSIE – An amazing to start the game led the Faith Christian Academy girls basketball team to a season-opening 48-10 win over Tabernacle Christian on Monday in a doubleheader with the boys.

FCA started the game with 25 consecutive points.

Destiny Drews and eighth grader A’Maya Brock led the way with 11 points apiece. Drews had two rebounds and two steals, and Brock had three steals and an assist.

Senior Lydia Wasvary contributed eight points, four rebounds and two steals alongside Jessica DeCarmine’s two triples, two rebounds, two steals and seven assists.

In the boys game, the Falcons made it 3-0 overall with a 58-25 victory over Tabernacle Christian.

Freshman Gheeson Gordon had 13 points, two rebounds and three steals while Justin Drews had a well-rounded game of his own with seven points, six rebounds, four steals and two assists.

Tony Fu, Dalton Lois and Lance Mackin all contributed with six points each.
