Roundup: Arlington volleyball sweeps

 

Michaela Sciacca had five aces, 13 assists and nine digs as host Arlington High School’s volleyball team swept Clarkstown South 26-24, 25-7, 25-23 in Freedom Plains on Monday.

Grace Torino had seven aces, three blocks, six kills and 12 digs for Arlington (3-3). Tatum Pittman had six blocks and four kills for the Admirals.

Millbrook 3, Webutuck 0 – Kayla Gusikoff had 33 assists as the host Blazers swept the Warriors 25-12, 25-11, 25-15.

Erin Fox had 14 kills and Brooke Babbitt added 11 kills for Millbrook. Sam McKenna had seven aces. Cecila Dignan had 12 digs.

Faith Christian Academy 3, Poughkeepsie Day School 1 — Maya Greasham had 18 service points and Cheyenne Mathis had eight kills and eight aces to lead FCA (3-1) in a 25-9, 25-15, 13-25, 25-19 win.

Field hockey

Julia Butts scored twice as visiting Webutuck defeated Ellenville 3-0.

Kaylee Johnson also scored for Webutuck (3-4).

Pawling 4, Carmel 0 – Kiera Tucci and Carly McGrath each scored twice to lead visiting Pawling. Kayla Chavarri made a save for the Tigers (5-3-1).

Arlington 0, Brewster 0 – Sophia Fister had two saves as the host Admirals (1-2-3) picked up a tie.

Kingston 6, Spackenkill 0 – Liz Schwoerer made 13 saves in the loss for host Spackenkill (0-3-3).

Girls tennis

Sarah McCall and Rachel Li each won singles matches as host Spackenkill improved to 7-0 with a 4-1 win over Marlboro.

Spackenkill swept the doubles matches. Marlboro’s Emma Messenger beat Cynthia Ma, 6-2, 6-4 at first singles. Marlboro is 5-2.

Boys golf

Jeffrey Peters shot a 1-over-par 37 at New Paltz Golf Club as the visiting Franklin D. Roosevelt defeated New Paltz 170-182. Zach Plambeck shot 41 for Roosevelt (8-2).

Jaxson Koebel-Secky led New Paltz (5-4) with a 41.

Spackenkill 166, Webutuck 251 – Erik Stauderman shot a 3-over-par 39 and Ryan Ackert shot a 40 at Sharon County Club in Connecticut as visiting Spackenkill won.

Collin Smith (43) and Zachary Cioffi (44) also contributed for Spackenkill (11-0). Ahmatik Jones led Webutuck (0-8) with a 47.

Spackenkill won its 11th straight MHAL Division III title.

Millbrook 187, Ellenville 215 – Tyler Schaad led the host Blazers with a 4-over-par 40 at Millbrook Golf & Tennis Club.

Marlboro 172, Saugerties 209 – Justin Boehlke had a 6-over-par 41 as the host Iron Dukes (7-2) won at Apple Greens Golf Course in Highland.

Rondout Valley 165, Red Hook 198 – James Rossetti shot a 7-over-par 42 at Rondout Golf Club as the visiting Raiders (4-4) lost.
