Soccer roundup: Giamportone scores four as Rhinebeck girls win

 

Michelle Giamportone scored four goals and Libby Callahan had two assists to lead host Rhinebeck High School over Millbrook, 5-0, in girls soccer on Monday.

Giamportone scored five minutes in, off a feed from Stephanie Cassens, then made it 2-0 in the 36th minute on a penalty kick. Dani Amidon made a save for the Hawks (4-0).

Millbrook's Claire Martell had 10 saves.

Webutuck 3, Pine Plains 2 — Sofia Stefanopoulos scored the winner with 12 minutes left for visiting Webutuck. Gabby Stoetzner and Chloe Panzer also had goals for the Warriors. Tessa Kilmer scored twice, Frances Snyder had an assist and Melissa Leach made 10 saves for Pine Plains.

New Paltz 4, Saugerties 0 — Cerissa Divalentino scored three goals to lead visiting New Paltz.

Dover 3, Pawling 2 — Abby Wood scored two goals, including the winner with 15 minutes remaining to lead host Dover. Chiara Cardiello added a goal and Ashley Merlo had five saves for the Dragons (1-2).

Pawling’s Breann Scoca scored and Olivia Zoeller tied it at 2 in the 22nd minute.

Beacon 5, Walter Panas 1 — Chloe Antalek scored three goals, and Gabby Lucas and Eliza Ericson each had a goal and an assist for Beacon (2-2). Meagan Meeuwisse made five saves in the win.

Red Hook 5, Highland 0 — AJ Fuchs-White, Claire Dyal, Isabelle LaBarbera and Alexa Franceschi each scored for visiting Red Hook.

Spackenkill 2, Ellenville 0 — Caitlin Speranza and Gabrielle Prichard each had a goal and Maddy McCall made two saves for visiting Spackenkill (3-0).

Boys soccer

Dylan Ramage scored twice and had an assist to lead visiting Ketcham in a 4-2 win over Port Chester. Nick Botscheller and Chris Flanagan each added a goal, and Dan Veliz had an assist for the Indians (3-0).

James Nardelli, John Foster, Liam Maloney and Flanagan did well defensively, Indians coach Scott Grimes said.

Faith Christian Academy 4, Well Played Warriors 0 — Dalton Lois scored three goals to lead FCA. Gheeson Gordon added a goal and Manny Cabral had two assists for FCA (1-0).

Ossining 2, Arlington 1 — Tristan Battistoni scored in the loss for visiting Arlington.

Horace Greeley 2, John Jay 0 — John Jay fell to 1-1 with the loss on the road.
